Tour Plan

Day 1

  • Morning: You will likely arrive at Zanzibar International Airport (Abeid Amani Karume International Airport) which is the main entry point to Zanzibar. From there, you can take a taxi or arrange a transfer to Jambiani (around 1 hour drive). After checking into your hotel, take some time to relax on the beach or explore the village. There are a few small shops and restaurants in Jambiani, but it is a very quiet and laid-back place.
  • Afternoon: In the afternoon, you can go for a swim in the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, or take a dhow (traditional sailing boat) trip to nearby reefs for some snorkeling. Dhow trips can usually be booked through your hotel or at a local beach kiosk.
  • Evening: Enjoy a delicious seafood dinner at one of the many beachfront restaurants in Jambiani. After dinner, take a stroll along the beach and watch the sunset.

Day 2

  • Morning: After breakfast, head to Paje, which is located just a short drive down the coast from Jambiani. Paje is a bit more lively than Jambiani, with a wider selection of shops, restaurants, and bars.
  • Afternoon: Paje is also a great place for water sports. You can try kitesurfing, paddleboarding, or surfing. If you are a beginner, there are plenty of schools that offer lessons.
  • Evening: In the evening, head to one of the beach bars in Paje for some drinks and live music.

Day 3

  • Morning: Today, you can take a spice tour to learn about the many spices that are grown on Zanzibar. Zanzibar is known as the "Spice Island" for a reason! Many of the spices that we use in everyday cooking come from Zanzibar, such as cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Afternoon: After the spice tour, head to Stone Town, which is the historic capital of Zanzibar. Stone Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known for its labyrinthine alleyways, ancient architecture, and vibrant culture. In Stone Town, you can visit the Palace Museum, the Old Fort, and the Forodhani Gardens.
  • Evening: Enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional Zanzibari restaurant in Stone Town. At night prepare
