Tour Plan

Day 1

  • Morning: Depart from Dar es Salaam after breakfast. You can choose to take a public bus or a private car. The drive is about 4 hours, so you might want to consider hiring a car and driver to make the journey more comfortable.

  • Afternoon: Arrive at Saadani National Park and check into your lodge. In the afternoon, you can go on a cultural tour of a nearby village. This is a great opportunity to learn about the local way of life, customs, and traditions. You might even get to see some traditional dances and music.

  • Evening: Enjoy a delicious dinner at your lodge and relax by the campfire, listening to the sounds of the African night.

Day 2

  • Morning: After breakfast, go on a game drive in the park. Saadani is home to a variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and many species of birds. With some luck, you might also spot some hippos or crocodiles in the rivers.

  • Afternoon: After lunch, you can go on a boat trip on the Wami River. This is a great way to see the park from a different perspective and spot some wildlife that you might not see on a game drive. In the afternoon, head back to Dar es Salaam.
