Day 1

-Start your day early with a drive from Arusha to Mto wa Mbu, a small town located on the western shore of Lake Manyara. The drive takes about 2-3 hours, depending on road conditions.
-In Mto wa Mbu, you can visit a local market to see the Maasai people selling their crafts.
-After lunch, continue your drive to Lake Natron, stopping at a viewpoint along the way to take in the stunning views of the Rift Valley.
-Arrive at your campsite or lodge in the late afternoon and enjoy a relaxing evening by the campfire, listening to the sounds of the African bush.

Day 2

  • In the morning, take a guided hike to the edge of the volcano, Engosi Crater. The hike is relatively easy and takes about 2-3 hours. From the top, you will have incredible views of Lake Natron and the surrounding landscape.

  • In the afternoon, visit the nearby waterfalls, where you can take a dip in the cool water or go for a swim.

  • In the evening, return to your campsite or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

  • After breakfast, take a drive to the shores of Lake Natron, where you can see the flamingoes for which the lake is famous. Be aware that the water in the lake is highly alkaline and can be harmful to humans and animals.
  • In the afternoon, begin your drive back to Arusha, stopping at a Maasai boma (traditional village) along the way to learn about their culture and way of life.
  • Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon and end your trip.
