Mount Meru: Tanzania's Majestic Stratovolcano

Activities:
Day 1-3/4: Embark on the challenging yet rewarding climb up Mount Meru (4,566m). This trek offers breathtaking views of the surrounding plains, volcanic craters, and even Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. Choose between different climbing routes, each with varying levels of difficulty and scenery. Take your time, acclimatize, and relish the stunning landscapes.
There are two main routes for climbing Mount Meru:
Momella Route: This classic route starts at the Momella Gate on the eastern side of the mountain. It's the longest route, taking 3-4 days, and traverses grasslands, montane forests, and volcanic terrain. Hikers can enjoy stunning views of the crater rim and surrounding plains.
Rhino Route: This shorter and steeper route starts at the Maji ya Moto Gate on the western side. It can be done in 2-3 days and offers challenging ascents through ash fields and scree slopes. The reward is a breathtaking panorama from the summit crater.
Day 4/5-5/6: After conquering the summit, spend your days exploring the foothills of Mount Meru. Embark on shorter hikes through acacia forests and grasslands, spotting zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and playful monkeys. Visit the scenic Ngurdoto Crater, a haven for black rhinos and a vibrant birdlife spectacle. Take a jeep safari and traverse the crater floor, feeling the earth's ancient energy.

I am 6 feet tall and 220 lbs. This shirt fit me perfectly in the chest and shoulders. My only complaint is that it is so long! I like to wear polo shirts untucked. This shirt goes completely past my rear end. If I wore it with ordinary shorts, you probably wouldnt be able to see the shorts at all – completely hidden by the shirt. It needs to be 4 to 5 inches shorter in terms of length to suit me. I have many RL polo shirts, and this one is by far the longest. I dont understand why.

The shirt was not the fabric I believed it to be. It says Classic Fit but was made like the older versions, not the soft cotton like my others. I don’t understand how the labels are the same but a completely different shirt. Oh well, stuck with it now.
